the second photo is of a girl under a tree. the composer of the photo doesn't work because it is an akward angle of Jennifer, the shadows seem to be sprouting up her legs. it makes her seem short and possible laying down. i prefer te first to the second.

portrait article
A portrait is described as capturing some sort of feelings in the picture from a person in a particular place or environment. in this case, Sharma enjoys the shower as a setting because it helps relax the subject or model and it is easier for their emotions to flow as easily as the water over their bodies.
i would want to take a picture in a location that is calming such as a river or a pond because water naturally calms people. but at school, i would have to choose the back hill because the green tall grass and tall trees gives the model the feeling of escape and relaxes them a bit. i believe a portrait there would look better than most locations on this campus.

Timeline
So i wanted to be different so i made my time line a clock to symbolize how time keeps going round and round. Black and white was the starter and is still done today.
I originally made my time line on an actual clock but it was accidentally packed on the moving van for Washington so spent all of Thursday night creating a rough replica. (i had bought a neon clock from a thrift store, welded on picture frames and put the pictures on so they lit up every hour inside the frames)
I did the basic history of photography. First of everything from first ever photo, to first ever photo from space, which also shows human movement forward. i didn't have descriptions when i first brought it into class so i took a black pen and just wrote what the photo was of, if it was the first of something. And for good measure since i wouldn't find the first photo shop image, i just put my first image into my time line of a cherry cat eating a bee. Since i used regular glue, i used puffy paint so when the edges come up, it hopefully will stay down due to the paint, and makes it look a little bit better.

Art photo

Description: music dude is playing while the video guy records the performing dancerAnalyze: slightly angled up with everything in focus and sharp. not high contrast in the photo all together.
interpret: It shows how all the arts compliment each other at the school, and the low contrast between the performers and the school in the background signifies how when the students perform, they become one with the school and their art stands out (the sax, the limbs of dancer, and the camera).
Judge: There could be a bit more contrast in the models and the background and maybe get the edge of the pillar that the camera man was on would give it more feeling otherwise a decent photo

Portrait
Analyze: A Downward angle with obvious light from the lamp illuminating her.
Interpret: a girl who is addicted to the computer they play on it 24/7
Judge: its not that great of a photo. too much clutter and objects interfering within the boundries and the main feature. could have gotten a better angle and included the hands.

ORIGINAL
SOFTEN BRUSH
Description: top is original photo. left is my soften brush. right is the brush photo+text.
analyze: wierd creepy photo of me doin a "cute" pose.
i like the softened picture because it looks vivid with the colors and all. i actually wish that i could have put both pictures together because it would look better because i dont like how the other picture is faded.

Sequencing

Description: a boy and his girl are together till another girl comes and rips them apart and takes her place. he seems content.
Analyze: Straight forward angle, focusing in on the people in the action.
interpret: How quickly guys can get over someone, or how if you are forceful, you can get anything you want lol.
judge: i think its cool and it presents some meanings that others dont really think about like the above mentioned

studio lighting
Describe:Jackie is holding up a heart neclace to her eye and peering through it with a slight grin on her faceAnalyze: A straight angle toward her with the light coming from the left to put the shadow on the right
Interpret: i have no idea for interpret except to say that she wanted to view the world in a different perspective and to see someone in a great big heart
Judge:it gives a good vibe and captures her well witht the white and black corners on either side of her and her definitions being, well, defined

fun with photoshop

so pretty much i went onto Mrs. Alvarez's blog spot and went to the first link and looked for 2 images that i liked the most. first i chose one of napolean on a rearing horse and a squirrel with the intent of putting him on it, but that was too hard and settled for putting the earth in the medieval world. when opened in photoshop, the images were too small, so i changed the size using the image size. then i opened up the earth and used the lasso tool and roped the earth and cut it and pasted it onto the corner of the sky in the medieval castle picture. then i zoomed in and had to take out the black edges around the earth to make it clear and precise. i did nothing to the castle picture except resizing it. but then they didnt want to upload, so i created one more still using the castle, but this time using the ghost in the background as death looming in
