point and shoot project

taken from a tree, first is a shot of my shadow in the tree's shadow. makes it seem as a peter pan like person is watching over the person in the edge of the photo. or could be a stalker waiting for the right moment to pounce and attack.
the second photo is of a girl under a tree. the composer of the photo doesn't work because it is an akward angle of Jennifer, the shadows seem to be sprouting up her legs. it makes her seem short and possible laying down. i prefer te first to the second.

portrait article

A portrait is described as capturing some sort of feelings in the picture from a person in a particular place or environment. in this case, Sharma enjoys the shower as a setting because it helps relax the subject or model and it is easier for their emotions to flow as easily as the water over their bodies.
i would want to take a picture in a location that is calming such as a river or a pond because water naturally calms people. but at school, i would have to choose the back hill because the green tall grass and tall trees gives the model the feeling of escape and relaxes them a bit. i believe a portrait there would look better than most locations on this campus.

Timeline

So i wanted to be different so i made my time line a clock to symbolize how time keeps going round and round. Black and white was the starter and is still done today.
I originally made my time line on an actual clock but it was accidentally packed on the moving van for Washington so spent all of Thursday night creating a rough replica. (i had bought a neon clock from a thrift store, welded on picture frames and put the pictures on so they lit up every hour inside the frames)
I did the basic history of photography. First of everything from first ever photo, to first ever photo from space, which also shows human movement forward. i didn't have descriptions when i first brought it into class so i took a black pen and just wrote what the photo was of, if it was the first of something. And for good measure since i wouldn't find the first photo shop image, i just put my first image into my time line of a cherry cat eating a bee. Since i used regular glue, i used puffy paint so when the edges come up, it hopefully will stay down due to the paint, and makes it look a little bit better.
