Sequencing

Description: a boy and his girl are together till another girl comes and rips them apart and takes her place. he seems content.

Analyze: Straight forward angle, focusing in on the people in the action.

interpret: How quickly guys can get over someone, or how if you are forceful, you can get anything you want lol.

judge: i think its cool and it presents some meanings that others dont really think about like the above mentioned

studio lighting

Describe:Jackie is holding up a heart neclace to her eye and peering through it with a slight grin on her face

Analyze: A straight angle toward her with the light coming from the left to put the shadow on the right

Interpret: i have no idea for interpret except to say that she wanted to view the world in a different perspective and to see someone in a great big heart

Judge:it gives a good vibe and captures her well witht the white and black corners on either side of her and her definitions being, well, defined

fun with photoshop

so pretty much i went onto Mrs. Alvarez's blog spot and went to the first link and looked for 2 images that i liked the most. first i chose one of napolean on a rearing horse and a squirrel with the intent of putting him on it, but that was too hard and settled for putting the earth in the medieval world. when opened in photoshop, the images were too small, so i changed the size using the image size. then i opened up the earth and used the lasso tool and roped the earth and cut it and pasted it onto the corner of the sky in the medieval castle picture. then i zoomed in and had to take out the black edges around the earth to make it clear and precise. i did nothing to the castle picture except resizing it. but then they didnt want to upload, so i created one more still using the castle, but this time using the ghost in the background as death looming in

capturing motion

Capturing Motion!!

Describe: Jake and paul moving in opposite directions that are blurred so are moving quickly in front of some trees at school. paul is doing a cartwheel, and jake is doing a somersault

Analyze: it is a straight angle and used a low shutter speed to make the males blurred. the background is still in focus and there is a contrast between paul and jake, the boys and the trees, and the trees and the background.

Interpret:  the moving together as one signifies togetherness, and the contrast in their clothes could stand as yin and yang?? i just thought the shot would be cool

Judge: It is a great shot, it was caught in the climax of both rolls. it is accomplished in being unified.

depth of field

Describe: A girl laying down in front of a truck on the side of the road. looks as ifs she's unconscious, but cant really tell because she's blurred.
Analyze:it's a flat angle, it seems that it wasn't printed correctly because the whole photo is blurred out and it seems as if the truck was only supposed o be in focus.
Interpret: she could have just been hit by this truck and has passed out. or has given up on life and just layed down to get it all over with.
Judge:If the whole picture wasn't blurred, and just the truck, or just the girl, then it might be a good photo. since it's not, its a fairly bad photo. also next time to get a bit more light on the girl for more contrast

away from society

Describe: a girl squatting on a hill in front of some buildings. she seems to be just thinking about things.
Analyze: The picture seems to be taken from a higher angle. there isn't much of a contrast in colors. the scratches and dust marks make it seem like it's an older photo.
Interpret: she seems to be a taking a break. just sitting there with her eyes closed just listening to the world. she's away from the buildings and on the dirt so maybe wants to get back to nature.
Judge: a little bit contrast, along with more plants, may have brought the idea of getting away from society out a bit more. so the work was not all that successful.
